Grateful Heart Monday is an easy one today.
In America (where I'm from), today is Memorial Day, a day for remembering all of the people who have lost their lives serving in the military. It's an important day to remember to be grateful.
Flags are raised, they are placed on military graves, public services are held in towns and communities. It's a lovely, patriotic display of gratitude.
Several of my family members have served in the armed forces - my brother, dad, grandfather, cousin, aunt, brother-in-law. I'm very lucky that we didn't lose any of them. Yet so many millions of people have lost someone they loved in the military.
So today I say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the million men and women who have given their lives in the service of the country. Your sacrifice will always be remembered.
