Belts are one of the few accessories that I haven't become addicted to at some point in my fashiony past (read: stockpiled more than necessary)...which is strange because they're so versatile! They can change the fit of an outfit so easily, simply by nipping in your waist. And let's be honest - when expecting, a belt is the difference between looking like a big potato rolling around in a loose sack, vs. looking beautifully pregnant.
I've seriously popped in the last few days, so there couldn't be a better time to try and accentuate the 'smallest part of my waist' - which at the moment is way up there above the bump. Everything I'm wearing here I had from my prior pregnancy, except for the boots and necklace. The tunic sweater has a built in fabric bow, but I took a small leather belt off an empire waisted dress in my closet and added it to make the fit a bit better. This is a pure 'comfort' outfit - from the stretchy sweater material to the leggings to the waterfall cardi, I loved how relaxed I felt in this. So much so that I wore it to our family's 'first' Thanksgiving dinner this past weekend!
Can I just comment on the ridiculousness that is the weather up here for a minute...? Not 3 days ago we had over a foot of snow and temperatures below freezing....yet over the weekend it snuck up to 60 degrees (!?) and everything melted. (Although that did mean I got one more week of outdoor shots - probably the last one now.)
The horses look wildly unimpressed by my styling of this outfit...
Do you wear a lot of belts? What do you wear belted?
